237 TO BENEFIT FROM LASU SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

Two hundred and thirty outstanding students have been qualified to benefit from the Lagos State University scholarship award scheme for the 2015/2016 academic session.

The award is to be given to First Class students with 4.5 cumulative grade point average(CGPA) and above in their academic profile for the past academic session at the close of the 2016/2017 academic year.

The intention of the University on the scholarship award was to refund the school tuition fees of each qualified students which amounts to twenty-five thousand Naira, but because of the University present financial status,  LASU management has decided to scale down the financial reward down to fifteen thousand naira.

In the institution bulletin which was released on Thursday, 23rd of November, 2017 the names and details of the beneficiaries were published for the entire university community to see and for beneficiaries to be aware. 

Scholars came from six faculties out of eight faculties in the school. According to the list released by the school management through the office of the Acting Dean, student affairs division, there was no First Class student from the School of Communication and the School of Transport.

All two hundred and thirty seven university scholars would be decorated and presented with the fifteen thousand naira check by the school at a certain date and time that would be communicated later.

In addition, the Lagos State Student Union of the 2016/2017 administration are organizing the maiden edition 'excellence award ceremony' featuring student's testimony, account of stewardship, award presentation, communal prayer and lots more in the institutions 3 in 1 conference hall, Faculty of Education on the 14th of December, 2017.

FUTURISTIC JOURNALISM; MY ROLE IN IT

Journalism is aggregating, writing, editing and presenting of news or new articles for widespread distribution, typically in periodical prints publications and broadcast news media, for the purpose of informing the audience.
